    Talking New cartoons...love or hate?

I've been a cartoon lover all my life. My generation was the last great stand of the Saturday morning cartoon, and I just can't seem to drop the habit. Does anyone have any new cartoons that are good? Maybe some old faves to spark the nostalgia factor? I'm currently really into Chowder. So funny, with lots of adult humor! Weekenders are good, and I love Venture Brothers and Metalocalypse. I also love anime, but hate the bubble gum, cutie stuff. BLECK! Anything out there sparkin your fancy these days??

I don't watch the cartoons unless my grandchildren are over but I do watch Family Guy American Dad once in awhile.

I enjoy Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, Southpark and though not really a cartoon, Robot Chicken. I find Moral Oral fun sometimes too, but not always, it can get pretty graphic at times.

Adult Swim has some great stuff.

ATHF, Venture Brothers, Robot Chicken just to name a few. Really been getting into Boondocks lately. Pretty funny stuff!!!

Of course you have to love the Simpsons and Family Guy as well!!!

I really enjoy the animated "sit-coms"; i.e. Family Guy, The Simpsons, Southpark. I also am a fan of Naruto and Avatar (which is being made into a live film by M.N.S).

The new ones seem to lack something for me. I still like Scooby Doo (pre- Scrappy, of course)!

Heh PLx81. I consider a 'scooby snack' to be a joint that still has enough meat to it to be worth saving for later.

Oh my God did I ever hate Johnny Quest. Every episode was overly identical, and the characters resembled pieces of wood more than they resembled cartoon characters. Bless the Gods for giving me The Venture Brothers! That put Johnny right in his place...

There are some good new cartoons on these days, but not a whole lot. I watched a run of Ed Edd and Eddy, and enjoyed it. I love Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. Bloo, Edwardo, Coco... man, they RULE! I gave away my McDonalds toy of Bloo to my last girlfriend, for a dinner she cooked after we had broken up one day, but I wouldn't let her get my Edwardo toy. He's on my desk in the other room right now, in sentry position, with all my other desktop toys.

OMGodzors! What about, The Fairly Odd Parents? "Do I like Timmy? Well, my love for him burns with the intensity of a thousand white hot suns, but I can't say that!" [types] 'Timmy? He's a dork...' Or when the father is talking about the 20 thousand dollar vase he has, and he tells Vicky, "That's more than you'll make in your entire life!" HAHAHAHA! Comedy is tragic, and this world is down and dirty. Tell me a storyyyyyy.........

Oh, I got another! I LOVED the new Duck Dodgers. I'm about to go dredge out the internet to see if I can find a few eps of it. Very adult oriented humor, considering what it's all about. Big time. Hardcore humor. Daffy Duck could kick Bugs ass with a quickness, if we got to push Duck Dodgers against him. I liked it when Daffy dressed up like a sexy hooker to trick the guards, and they were like, "umm, an ugly duck in drag? No, you can't get in", but then Daffy offered them 50 bux, and they let him in. HAHAHAHA! Ohhhhhh damn.

Hmmmm, I had another on my mind. Oh! The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy! I don't have a single episode of this on my xbox media center. Can you believe it? Me! The one and only ME. God, it's time to rectify that. I'll capture them myself off TV if I have to.

I love Eris in that series. She has that huge gap between her front teeth, but other than that, she does look like a Goddess. I loved it when Billy broke his fathers motorcycle, and he had Grim replace it with a demon-hog. When he was driving around town and everybody was turning into demons... ooooo that was cool. "they grow up so fast..." Or when Billy's Mom and Billy's Dad became young because of some mishap with the scythe, and they decided to get married again, and they were like, "Hey, wanna get married then avoid talking to each other for the next 30 years?" That really shouldn't make us laugh, it really shouldn't. But reality is pretty damn slapstick like that. The stuff that hurts the most, is the best to turn into some form of humor. Cut someone else with it, while I laugh. I wash my hands every day, more than once.

So, as far as the intelligent ones go, LOVE is totally the answer. Now, as far as trying to dredge some series like "Kim Possible" or "My Life as a Teenage Robot" for humor... well, if I was stuck in front of it cause children were enjoying it, you might get a giggle out of me every now and then, when the humor gets extremely situationally bizarre. But other than that, it wouldn't catch my interest for more than a moment.
