i was pleased to discover that my library has quite a collection of DC Comics.Superman,Batman,Wonder Woman you name it!i have given myself permission to at least a couple of time a month to trip back in time and just be a kid for awhile!never will i give up reading all my favorite authors!i think we all should step back sometimes and allow ourselves a "moment"!i told gallina (volic) about another fun thing to do.we have from time to time an"ugly night",this is where your so wrung out by the week you just want to relax!i kick it up a few notches.first see if friends want to join in,once you explain bet youll get quite a few takers like i do.DRESS CODE:ONLY LOOSE FITTING COMFORTABLE CLOTHES I.E. P.J.S,HUGE SWEATS,FAVORITE SOFT ROBES.FOOD:ALL JUNK FOOD,CARBS A MUST!ICE CREAM ,POPCORN,PIZZA,HOT WINGS,CHILI,POTATO CHIPS,CHOCOLATE IN ANY FORM ETC..TV PROGRAMS:NOTHING EDUCATIONAL!HORROR MOVIES,ACTION ADVENTURE,COMEDY,DRAMAS(DEPENDS NO REAL CHICK FLICKY,STEEL MAGNOLIAS OK,PRETTY WOMAN OK)BEVERAGES:ANYTHING GOES!!!I THINK IVE COVERED ALL BASES.THEN EVERYBODY DOES THEIR OWN THANG!RULES?DONT NEED NO STINKING RULES!!!!FROM YOUR KITCHEN GURU HENRY

Henry, you're a man after my own heart! I'm more of a Marvel guy than DC, but I agree with you that comics can be a joy to be savored. I've been reading them for years, along with just about every other thing I can get my hands on, including the great childrens' stories that I've loved for years (Swiss Family Robinson, Secret Garden, etc. get about yearly re-readings). It's great to have you back!

Personally I find myself interested in any medium that can be used to convey a good story; part of it comes from me being something of an amature writer myself, and part of it is a simple appreciation for a good story. In either case, I tend to indulge in any medium that can convery a good story; it can be a book, a comic book, a movie, a video game, even music. I embrace it all.
