    Howdy Y'all!

I too have read them all and do my part to support the King franchise by running out to buy that hardcover as soon as its released.

My favorite SK novel still remains "The Stand" with believe it or not "Duma Key" in the number 2 slot.

I am a constant reader and eat through novel's at an average pace of one per week. I am currently reading through the Michael Crichton library and the James Patterson library.

I read my first SK novel as a young boy. Christeen.

I agree thank you for the lovely welcome. Sometimes it is a little intimidating to join and start posting in a message board. Not here and I would like to thank you all for that! Happy posting!

This is my first post here & I think birds of a feather is a very good way of putting that.

I started reading SK books when I was 13 (because we all know that's the luckiest time to start anything) and my first experience was The Stand. Oh what a wonderful time that was. My mother told me I was out of my depth think the reading was too deep for a 13 year old to grasp. Wow she was wrong, and go figure that many years later my 11 year old son is hooked in. Did I eben hesitate when he asked. HELL NO!!

I have been a member of the SK library book club for about 6 years and have I think the entire collection and read every one of them. A few of the more than once. So now I'm looking forward to collecting the graphic novels from Marvel. I have read one of them from the library just to get a taste. Mmmm delicious. Have a question about that though. Are the graphic novels going to make it into the library or am I going to have to hunt them down one by one? You see I'm lazy as well and like the feeling of not getting off my ass to get what I want. This is also shown in my chosen profession as a crane operator.

I am glad to have found this wonderful little tool of community and like minds and hope to enjoy reading the posts here.

    Thanky sai

I'm drowning here, folks! I know we lost the Welcome button when we did the upgrade to this version but please either use the Thanks button as a Welcome or just go to the Newbie's Profile to post a Welcome message. With all the new members we have because of Stephen's Empire, my posting time has severely slowed down as it is and having to go through all the Welcome messages (especially from old-time members who should know the scoop) is adding to the delay in posting. Thanks for your cooperation and be forewarned--from now on all messages that are nothing more than a "welcome to the board" will be deleted so if you want the newbie to get the message, please post it in their profile.

Ok so THE STAND is my favorite and first book I every read by SK. The unabridged version is a must re-read. But what I wanted to say is Duma Key reminds me so much of the early writings by SK. I average 3 days to finish a book. I just got a Sony Reader a few months back and then got the audio book "UR" a few days later. Now that was scary. I hope to some day be able to download every SK ebook to go with the Hardcovers that line my bedroom wall. Sheryl

I hate being a newbie again...but glad I found the forum. Not sure if I'm supposed to go ahead and post as I'm still trying to read everything and get a feel for the site but thought I'd jot something down anyway to say "Hi". The first SK book for me was Salem's Lot back when I was 14 and I just finished Blockade Billy a few days ago.

    Hello Everybody,

I'm new to the boards but not new to SK. I grew up in Maine and spent many years living in Bangor. A friend of mine told me about SK Empire and i thought it would be interesting to share some of my Photography. See you around!!!
