Smile Reincarnation: Do you believe? What are your stories?

I'm curious. How many of us believe in reincarnation? Have you gone through life many times or are you a once-born? What stories do you have about your pasts, those memories that you KNOW are real?

I am not a once-born. I've seen things and remembered things.

I believe! I think that I'm reincarnated, my biggest proof is that I learned certain skills so fast that I believe it's as if I have did it before. I also have certain tastes that I don't share with my family and with the ones of my race/country... I think that I was living in another place, far away from here. I also dream with another places and cities that at the present (in this life) I have never visit, and I know very well this city in my dream!. And... usually that feeling when i look myself on the mirror: Hey! this is not my face, it doesn't represent myself, my feelings and who I am.

I believe in reincarnation. I don't believe we become other animals in other lives, but are human spirits. Also, I don't believe we always reincarnate, its up to the individual.
On the other hand I also feel that too many folk believe in reincarnation because they wish they were someone "important" in another life. Often some folk seem to have always been a King or Queen or Emperor in another life..why not a plumber, farmer or millworker?
I don't have any memories of other lives that I know of anyway. Maybe I do and they sometimes come in dreams? I believe thats possible.

I believe we can take many forms in previous lives. I have been a soldier, priest (pagan), witch, dancer, some kind of sharpshooter, nobleman, etc, and even a horse. Yup. A horse. That was strange when I remembered that. LOL I was going down a cobbled street in the memory. I could hear the sound of the hooves when I was walking and the pace was comfortable. There was pressure on my back. I kept looking in my memory for the horse, but when I looked around the area as I was travelling through the streets, I realized from the height, and the lack of a view of a horse's head in front of me, that I was the horse. Quite a stress-free existence. I must have been a spoiled horse.

If I was a farmer or a millworker in another life, I'd be more happy to remember things in my past life that I did that was beautiful, like past loves or places you might have seen. You don't wanna walk into an old mill building from a few hundered years ago, and say, "oh yeah, I remember, I used to pull that barge back and forth all day!"

I totally believe in reincarnation, I believe we're going around in a giant circle, over and over, that twists and shifts when we die or are born, much like taking a large circle and twisting it right in half, that part that touches is where we recreate. I pretty much know reincarnation to be true, although I doubt I'll win any arguments on the subject with my mind and this keyboard alone. One way I consider it to be true, is with how close a friend can be in a lifetime, or how quickly you can meet someone and instantly feel that you've known them for longer than time.

I've talked to some women before that both told me they were 'old souls'. I have no idea if I'm the oldest soul in existance, or some space-baby hatched right of the egg yesterday. One of the women told me that an old soul was someone that dies when they are young, but who did because they were shining souls who were ready to leave this physical life at an early enough age. The other woman only really explained it to me in the sense that, maybe the older souls were built to withstand the brunt of the hells life has to throw at us in our lives, and it was their lot in life. Or maybe she meant, it's just why some can handle it, and some cannot.

    But I've never understood myself.

Reincarnation itself is almost like the saying, what goes around comes around. Maybe some jerk in a past life stole your purse. Maybe the energies that formed into you, and the thief, in that past existance, rubbed against each other in a life before that. You worked for something, and he thought it would be easier to just take it from you. Maybe this has been going on for a long time, and maybe he's out there again, waiting to get your purse, by some completely and seemingly random chain of events, but has more to do with the evolution of your energy, against his. Maybe, in one of these lifetimes, you'll be able to stop him, or even control him and reason with him and simutaneously plant some sort of timeless seed in him that will prevent him from doing it again in future incarnations.

Or, maybe you become the thief next time when he drops his wallet in front of you, but you don't open your mouth in time to let him know before he's gone, and since there is no ID in the wallet, you need to keep it anyways.

I think reincarnation is the only reason we can type and read at all right now. We've already gone down these shoots and ladders many many times before. Our bodies are just containers for those energies we hold and those we manipulate in our individual existances. And combined with the limitless of time, karma gets all the mandatory chance it wants for those energies to have their equal and opposite reactions thrown, or blessed, right back in our faces.

    No.

Jesus Christ said there is no newbirth on earth, execpt on Judgement Day when the sould reunites with the body.

And since I believe everything that Jesus said - I say no to reincarnation.

And honestly - I also really hope it doesn`t happened.

One life is enough, sooner or later I do wanna go home for good.

I believe in reincarnation, to me it’s just a fact, although I have some people who ask if I’ve ever been a tree…lol. Can’t remember, I suspect it doesn’t work that way.

    Very Well Said BlackThorn!
