I would like to see The long walk made into a movie, with stephen King doing the screen play so that it does not get messed up.

Ohmigawd! That is fantabulous news! Loved The Long Walk, bordered on brilliance IMHO and so far, nobody can touch Darabont on adapting King to the big screen. Bring it on! We're waiting and we're salivating!

Besides The Long Walk what Stephen King story/novel will you like to see made into movie by Frank Darabont? Like Darabont's previous finest works like The Green Mile & Shawshank Redemption how about King's one of the beautiful short stories The Reach? I think Darabont can make another masterpiece from it.

I would like to see From a Buick 8, made into a movie, if it's done right. Some of Stephen Kings movies didn't have the right feel to them. Shawshank Redemption and Hearts In Atlantis, were right, but The Stand [both movies] and Christine weren't. They just didn't have the Stephen King humor.
