Hey guys, today, I was in that well known literature retailer......Morrisons(that's a UK supermarket for my American friends), in the £1.99 each or 3 for £5 section, I found S.K's The Green Mile. So I bought it, unfortunately it was the only King book they had so I couldn't get the 3 for a fiver. It is the only brand new King book I have ever bought - I have said in the past that I prefer 2nd hand books to new ones, I like the nostalgic feel they have and their old library smell - they just seem to have a cozy feel to them. Oddly enough, it was the cheapest one I have bought.
The first UK edition of Carrie and a HC of Eyes of the Dragon.
YAHOO!
Congratulations on the first UK Carrie! That's a really scarce one!

I couldn't actually hold it in my hands, but I did purchase and read Mile 81. What a hoot!!
I actually lucked out at local Goodwill store AGAIN !! I found a very nice copy of "Candles Burning" by Tabitha King & Michael McDowell (who was a great writer) .... and just guess who was mentioned on the dedication page ?? Our very own Ms. Mod !!!
I also got "the Dark Half" and "Cat's Eye" too !! it was a good day at Goodwill !!!!
I got a comic for $12. The Stand No Mans Land still in plastic.
I got my copy of the Dark Tower comics omnibus in the mail yesterday!
Thing weighs so much that it's difficult to hold with one hand. Looks gorgeous. I'm thrilled to have it, no doubt.
Went to Hasting's where they're having a Buy 2 get 2 for $2 sale on their dvd's and I was able to replace my copy of Hearts In Atlantis that I loaned out to someone and never got back and also Desperation, which I needed for the ol' collection! (I also got The Dark Knight which I wanted for Heath Ledger's legendary performance and Bug with Ashley Judd which I've always wanted to see)
