Yeah, so far I haven't been disappointed with King's short stories either. They seem darker, most of the time. Especially the endings, which don't always have to be proper closure in a short story. I really like that.

And in the meantime I also bought original hardcover editions of 'salem's Lot, The Stand (the revised edition) and The Bachman Books. Can't wait for all of them.

About a week ago I finally found Full Dark, No Stars in the store. It was the first time I actually saw the book here, so I immediately bought it.

I picked up Stephen Spignesi's "The Essential Stephen King" for a mere 4.98 today! It's a bit out of date but I love reading about all things SK, so I'm happy to have it.

My last S.K.-related purchase was booking a hotel room in Atlanta for my trip to see a show of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. Yay!

    Wait...

They didn't charge my card yet, so that's technically not a purchase.

Does Vol. 4 of Locke & Key count?

Was looking on e-bay for anything King 1999. Found Stephen King Country by George W. Beahm. It's supposed to be a book of pictures of places that inspired King when he wrote different books. It should be interesting. And it's kinda weird. 1999 publication, and the guy's name is Beahm?

    Stephen King: Uncollected, Unpublished

This book appears to be quite interesting. Has anyone else read it? Any thoughts?

Stephen King: Uncollected, Unpublished is terrific. It's basically just an overview of stories most people will never get to read, so it's a bit of a c*@#-tease in that regard. Still, if you're interested in that sort of stuff, it's indispensable. Plus it's got a lengthy chapter from the unpublished novel Sword in the Darkness!

I also highly recommend Rocky Wood's Stephen King: The Non-Fiction.
