My copy of the gift edition of "Full Dark, No Stars" came today. My first LE and I have to say VERY HAPPY. I didn't expect the art to enhance King's work like it did for me. (4 artists, 1 for each story, 4 clearly different styles as well) I was shocked at how much it pleased me. The pen and ink drawings that accompany "1922" were my favorite. That and the wraparound cover which is perhaps the best cover I've seen on one of King's books. I CANNOT stop sneaking back to gaze at the panels. Any of you guys agree that the art for this book was the cherry on top of a perfect sundae??

Oooooooooooooo, I don't envy you at all, this is how it all started for me- with my first ever LE from Donald M. Grant books which was the gift edition of the Talisman. I was stunned at how beautiful the book and artwork was (and still is). Now, many years and many, many dollars later, I have an entire glass fronted bookcase full of signed/limited and gift edition books by Sai King. I blame it all on Donald Grant for making such a beautiful volume, may he rest in peace.

I ordered Full Dark, No Stars and 20th Century Ghosts the other day. Picked up a new hardcover of Heart-Shaped Box at the library for $2.50. I'm pretty excited to start reading some Joe Hill.

a few days ago I spotted a small bookstore in a neighboring small rural texas town....shocked me! Unforunately it only delt in paperback...i looked anyways. Found a copy of The Colorado Kid, printed by Hard Case Crimes...advertises that it is first publication anywhere. So I had to buy it at a cool $3.25. Anyone else have this copy?

well, it wasn't my purchase, but it is my book. my mom bought the Bachman Books at a thrift store for one of my christmas presents. i am very proud to say i only have two Stephen King books that are not from thrift stores...and those two were given to me as presents from relatives (they were Under the Dome and FDNS, in case you were wondering).

    Hi,

Yup, I think that was the most common edition, good cover, isn't it?

I've never seen the hardcover but I've hear rumours of its existence.

    Long days and pleasant nights

BTW Have you seen the Syfy Channel's Haven, VERY loosely based on The Colorado Kid - but still very good IMO?

That was the initial publication of that book. If I remember correctly, the retail was $4.99, so you got a good deal!

Got a copy of Silver Bullet - the movie screenplay + Cycle of the Werewolf. Has a little water damage, but I have been looking for it for a while so I picked it up when I saw it.

One of my best friends bought me Gerald's Game for Christmas and my sister bought me Gerald's Game and Needful Things. I am going to have to take back one copy of Gerald's Game, mainly because I don't know anybody that would want me to give it to them. Great books! I can't wait to read them.
