Hah....They come so pristinely wrapped in cello with a cardboard for support. Believe me the temptation is there but I am giving them as a gift in a looseleaf book. He is a very generous kid and will let me read them soonist. The drawings on the covers are truly awesome I just hope that they don't scare the bejeebees out of him. Oh, well, if so his little sister fears NOTHING and she loves a good story too. Either way, I get to read them

Just pre-ordered Just After Sunset and ordered the Gunslinger. I tried the DT series yrs. ago but couldn't get into it. I think it's time has come, for me, now, however. Also bought SK's 2009 desk calendar. Yee-haw!

I got "Danse Marcabre" yesterday, the paperback with the teeny tiny print!!

And I'm waiting on "Secret Windows : Essays and Fiction On The Craft Of Writing" from a second hand seller, that takes a bit longer than the regular on-line stores.

I just got the Scribner bound manuscript proof of The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I've heard that there are between 13 and 20 copies of this.

I found an old copy of Night Shift at a used book store; I like the stories in NS for a good quick thrill!
