I was looking at eBay recently but every book that was dirt cheap had 2 pound p+p. All the ones had no p+p were 3 pounds. You got lucky there mate. You can get packs of new books on eBay, I think it works out about 13 quid for a brand new set of 6, but you can't pick and choose.

I found a first edition of The Regulators yesterday at a used book store for $1. Of course I bought it. I didn't need it as I already have that book, but it just didn't seem right to leave it there...it was only one dollar!! It's in really good condition also.

yeah im pretty good at finding bargains, but not as blood thirsty at it as my oldest sister is, shes ruthless. for items im not needing or wanting right this minute i tend to bide my time and just watch the listings for cheapo bargains.

Be sure to check every thrift store/used bookstore in your area! You never know what you're going to find at those places- I have found many 'treasures' myself while perusing these places- people just don't know what they have and then give it away to charity. I once found an autographed hardback mint copy of Insomnia at a Goodwill and paid $2.99 for it!!

I agree with buying on principle.

My dad bought me a hardcopy of The Bachman Books last week--containing all four stories--and in perfect condition for 20p/30cents.
Even though I already own it he knew I wouldn't forgive him if he had left it behind. True, true.
