Your latest Stephen King related purchase...

A couple of months ago I walked into a very small used book store and found something I've never seen or heard of before. It's a book called Dark Visions. 'An impressive showcase from three masters of the macabre' is what it says on the front. It's stories by a George R.R. Martin, Dan Simmons and....... Stephen King. There are 3 stories by SK - The Reploids, Sneakers & Dedication. I haven't read them yet (shame on me!) but I'll be sure to get back to you all in the What Are You Reading thread when I have.

Have any of you heard of this? If so, have you read them and what did you think? No spoilers please!

I ordered a copy of 'Salem's Lot' off ebay that purports to be a first edition. It's from an estate, and the executor couldn't say whether it was a book club or not, and frankly I didn't care-it was less than $5, so I got a nice hardback copy of one of my favorite books either way.

my most recent purchase was Lisey's story.however,i have just ordered carrie,cujo,it,the cell,& duma kay,i can't wait till they get here!all hardcovers,too!(i prefer hardcovers,though i woulden't turn my nose up at a softcover,esp at yard sales,etc)i'm having a very happy day!

Well, a few hours ago, I checked on www.abebooks.com for Secret Windows and I saw that the number of available copies in Canada dropped from 5 down to 2. I ordered my copy from the better looking dealer. Better rating. It'll be a first edition, of course.

Can't wait until that comes in the mail in a week or two.

I just bought a first edition of Danse Macabre and a first edition of Thinner! Woo-hoo!
