Super Bowl predictions

Well, how does everyone think the game is going to turn out Sunday? On paper, the 49ers look like the better team but the game is not played on paper, it's played on monofilament polyethylene. So here is my pick:

As a Patriots fan

as much as I would LOVE to see the 49ers trounce the Ravens, I don't see that being the outcome. No idea on how close it will be, though, or whether I'll even bother watching. It would just tick me off all over again to see them win.

I am a Giants fan so this Superbowl isn't close to my heart. However, I think Baltimore has a good vibe going so I'm cheering for them.

My prediction:

I will be watching the all day marathon of the show du jour -- Andy Griffith, Roseanne etc.... I will be napping before kick-off. I will have to be told who wins The Stanley America's Cup after the fact. I will go to Youtube if anything earth shattering happens so I can see it for myself.

I have reasons to not want either team to win: the Ravens are a fierce division rival for my Steelers, and if the 49ers win they will have 6 Superbowl wins just like the Steelers.

But, at the end of the day I just can't bring myself to root for the Ravens.
