The dark side of the animal kingdom.
I read The Red Hourglass: Lives of the Predators by Gordon Grice several years ago (I found it in the library). It's a fascinating book with chapters on black widows, brown recluse spiders and rattlesnakes, just to name a few. I liked it so much I bought a copy to keep and re-read.
The Book of Dangerous Animals is another of his books that I checked out from the library a couple days ago and I'm enjoying it just as much as the first one. I will be getting a copy of this one to keep as well.
The thing I like so much about these books is the dark comic style the author presents his material in.
