they tend to believe these things, chuggsy, because otherwise, they'd have to face reality...
and that would mean owning up to fact that we, as a society, are to blame: we look the other way..we make excuses...we don't get things done...we blame the other guy...
alot of the people who are screaming the loudest about banning have got a succinct point: this is not the first incident...it one of too, too many...over a very long period of time...
and yet, as a society, we've done nothing to get anything done about any of it...not even slightly..we haven't demanded as single solution...probably never will...despite the recent vote in NY
truth is, we always want to blame the other guy..when, in fact, the problem is all of us
...and who wants to own up to the fact that we simply refuse to be a better society (and, no...i do not believe a better society would be one w/o guns...guns are a red herring, as far as i'm concerned: remember, there are alot of people who think ideas can be bad/dangerous...same for books) ...that we are more than willing to wallow ignorance and call it freedom...
