The title is self explanatory. I don't want to make this a survey. It's just idle curiosity on my part - thanks!

Once my husband tried to teach me one part of Heart and Soul. (This was way before we were married.) He got irritated and said "well look if you're not even going to TRY." But I was. I was trying.![]()
I may just have to get the iPad garage band app so I can learn this.![]()
It's okay. No one can be great at everything. At least I can dance.(I do not understand how a person can be able to play an instrument or even sing on cue but have no apparent sense of bodily rhythm, but I have seen it with my own two eyes.) I think playing the drums would be beyond cool.
Really if we had kids, them learning a musical instrument would be the one thing I would absolutely insist on. The persistence and self-discipline it engenders is invaluable.
....can't play piano, but I can tunafish...

I have the Music Studio app, which is almost as good as was free for a while.
I've played since I was young, but not very well. Purely for my own entertainment.
Glad to hear you have a sense of rhythm. I am old enough to remember the old aerobics classes back in the 80s and I swear one of the instructors had no rhythm. She was playing nice bouncy music but just doing her own thing completely apart from the beat of the music.
The real reason I ask if people can play piano is actually this: (yes I have an ulterior motive!) I am a medical transcriptionist and it has been noted by me that those girls who had piano lessons are the fastest typists. Even in high school when I took a one year course in grade 11 called 'Personal Typing' the instructor told us that the only ones who might pick it up faster were those who had played piano in the past. I don't think he meant the one finger row, row, row your boat type of playing but actual lesson.
Man - how I wish my parents had thought to get me piano lessons! We even had an upright piano in one of the houses my Dad bought. Oh well - such is life...
As Spidey says 'Love and green lights to all' as I must go home now. My shift ended 30 minutes ago![]()
