Default Would You Time Travel back to your childhood?

I brought some paperwork home to do tonight, and flipped the cable to the upper stations with all the music choices, and settled on an oldies station, 70's that remind me of childhood. A song started playing and memories flooded back of sitting on my bed, doing homework, listening to WGN out of Chicago (how it carried to the hills of Tennessee I do not know), and some "shock jock" that did a routine he called the "boogie check". And just like a King story, I thought briefly, if I could zap myself back in time, into that boy child body again, would I do it? Would I take the chance to possibly fix family relationships, change careers (who knows, maybe be an author), or dare warn someone of 9/11 or other such major events? I decided after some consideration, I would not want to take the chance of messing my own children up any more than I already have, even if I could fix my parents, or change other events.

What about you, would you risk jumping back to your childhood to attempt changing the future?

I wouldn't do it, not just because I'd fear changing the future in a negative way, but because I'd be afraid of getting stuck in a past I'd definitely not want to relive.

Well said. Although there are definitely many things that would be nice to change/fix, they also make me who I am today - who knows what I would be like without those experiences?

No, even if I had a great childhood and there is still lot of good memories left, that jump into my mind every now
and then. But I wouldn't want to travel back.

No, never to go back. I survived childhood and do not desire to relive it.

I would go back and kick my own ars for some of the mistakes I made. Actually, no I wouldn't, we learn from our mistakes and that shapes us into who we are.
