KA symbol in the books?

Hi

I'm going to get me a tattoo from the DT world(s), and have seen this KA-symbol all over the place and think I might do that. Is this symbol actually in the books (and which one)? Or is it from the comics? I may also get the "unfound" word, and that I know is illustrated in the books.

Thank you. Found it in my book on page 249

I can't remember, is the symbol referenced by the author in any way? "Roland drew a circle with ka in it - ka is a wheel" or something? Or is it just something the artist made up?
