Happy Birthday to you, Sai King!

Thank you for all the times you have made me jump in the dark, for making me laugh out loud, and even for making me cry once in a while.

Have a wonderful birthday--laugh, love and eat lots of cake!

Much love and hugs to you on your special day and always.

Happy 65th Birthday Steve! I hope you have a great day with your family and loved ones.

Now that you're eligible, go to the Social Security office in Bangor, it's probably a lot less crowded than the ones in Florida!

I am still a young fan since I haven't been reading your books for long, but I thought you might smile or laugh to know that you are the only reason I no longer consider books trash. Up until I was 17 (I'm now 26), I used to make fun of my best friend and even take her books away for always reading. She one day handed me Salem's Lot, told me to read it and shut the * up and well....here I am, thanking you for bringing books and lots of joy back into my life. I actually met my boyfriend who I plan to spend the rest of my life with, through Stephen King Central on Facebook. So, THANK YOU for enriching my life. May you live to write many more fabulous books that I can pass on to my children. Much love from " OC " California-Elizabeth Z.

    Happy Birthday Mr King!

I hope you have a wonderful day and a terrific year!

I believe you are the only author who can cause my bookshelves to bend under the weight of the books.
I am so grateful that you sell words buy the pound.
You have given me so much - joy, wonder, fear, sadness, love, empathy - and all wrapped up in your wonderful stories.
    Thankee BIG BIG !
    Long days and pleasant nights.

Happy Birthday, Sai King. Your books have taken me away; they have brought me back; and they have been a staple of my life since I was 11 years old. Now at 33, I appreciate you more than ever. (I even had an artist friend of mine---who is amazing--- paint me a large canvas picture of the gunslinger at the Western sea, which I would be happy to show you and I know you would dig). When I tell people why I love your stories, (and some of them are so biased against anything "mainstream" which is for the most part, kind of ridiculous considering I don't feel "mainstream" myself) I say that they are realistically beautiful. As fantastic, horror, sci-fi, crazy as they are, your stories are real to me. Normal everyday people---people who trip, fart, pick their noses, lie, scheme, and live normal everyday lives---when they can be part of something bigger, survive something seemingly insurmountable, when they can find strength they never knew or dreamed they had...I am transported. From Roland to Rose Madder...from little brother Thomas to Ol' travelin' Jack...from the Losers Club to Prince the dog to Andy Dufresne...I have loved your stories. When I have been irretrievably sad, when I have been mentally flagellating myself, when I am happy, and when I am on an even keel---your stories have always given me something. A new perspective. An escape. Someone to root for. Someone to hate. Somewhere to get happily lost.

This is what I'd like to say, if I met you at a book signing or some-such. But I'm such a ninny, all I probably could say is "I'm a big fan". And I am.
