Did anybody read heart shaped box ?
...yep...and found it quite tasty....
Indeed, I have read it. He is his own writer, but a lot of his dad rubbed off onto him. Great read!

To answer your question, yes, I have read Heart-Shaped Box. I have also read Horns and 20th Century Ghosts. I'm eagerly awaiting his next, NOS4A2. I've also read about a quarter of his graphic novel series, Locke & Key. While he does write in the same broad genre as his dad, Joe's writing style is quite different.
Read it for the second time a couple of weeks ago. Good book, really enjoyed it. Horns and 20th Century Ghosts by JH are also good reads.
Heart-Shaped Box is awesome. Horns is awesome. 20th Century Ghosts is awesome. Locke & Key is awesome. Good lord, the dude's Twitter feed is even awesome!
Basically, what I'm saying is that Joe Hill's work is well worth your time.
Was not a big fan and I went in with an open mind (referring to the novels).
Seemed like a lot of the same things kept happening in slightly different locations and situations with the same predictable people.
Some of his shorts were great, however, and that One in particular...spectacular. Not going to point the great one out. Most of you can't do your own work...and I'm gonna be the one to do it? Nope.
Have not read his graphic stuff. No interest in the genre unless if propagates to watchable film...(I'm think WD right now) but good for him.
I'm reading it now. It happened to be in a box of books my daughter gave me.
I prefer Horns to Heart Shaped Box. Thought it more believeable and real. His style is less wordy a little more raw. Locke and Key is amazing. Really, what do you expect? Both of his parents are brilliant and he has raw talent.
