Default Stephen King's promotional tour for Joyland -- Question

I was wondering if Ms. Mod might know the answer to something I wondered as I read Stephen's itinerary for the week regarding the Joyland tour.

Does Stephen King write during such a tour? As he travels from show to show, does he ever attempt to write a story, begin a novel, start a screenplay, etc.? It would be neat if he specifically set out to do so and then wrote an essay about the process.

This tour isn't leaving him much time between appointments so he may not be able to keep to his every day routine but I'd be very surprised if he doesn't do any writing. The thing is, though, the process of writing isn't all about getting it from your head onto paper--there's a lot that can go on in your head that's still moving the story forward so that once you are able to get to type/write it out, you've got the rough draft of the story ready to go and just need to add the details so even if he isn't working on his laptop, there could still be writing going on. He's already working on a project, so I don't think he'd be working on something different that came to him while he was in NY unless it was one of those occasions when it just couldn't wait.

Not quite what you were thinking of , but what a great idea for a charity fundraiser! I would guess that an idea scribbled on a napkin would auction off for some big bucks.

Depends if he used Bullseye sauce or not. That stuff is nectar from the heavens, even on second go 'round.

    Just sayin'.
