Umm, so, do I take a number, like in a bakery, or should I just get in line?

Peppermint is okay in small amounts. In a four ounce bottle, mix no more than 20 drops of each (peppermint, rosemary, and eucalyptus) essential oil... top up with an unscented body lotion or oil. Blend. Helps with pain.

I make it twice the strength, but then, I am not preggers and don't have a small creature to take care of in me.

    Thanks everyone!

I think that my pelvis is separating, like it did with my last pregnancy. I started noticing it in my tailbone, and my the end I almost couldn't walk. It cleared up in a couple of months after he was born, so that's not necessarily a big deal. It's kind of daunting to be at the beginning of the process again, rather than find out partway through what is it and know there's not much of it left before delivery.

I see my midwives today, so I'll ask them about what I should do, too. I'll bring in the list you guys gave me of things to try! And thanks for the information about pennyroyal, yikes! I didn't know that, and I appreciate you taking the time to fill me in.

    I'm back!

They even did an ultrasound today, and I got to see the baby moving around and they counted the heart beat as 160bpm. So, that's all good.

They said stuff like Tiger Balm is OK, but that I would probably feel better if I spent some time in the pool, up to my chest or so. She said it alleviates pressure on the hips and helps keep swelling down in general. So, I'll have to get going that. Fortunately, part of our outrageous homeowner's fees cover the recreation centers, so I can swim for free.

So, I think I'll explore the Tiger Balm alternatives you guys listed, and dig out my swimsuit!

Have you tried the wraps that heat up and stay hot for hours? If you alternate one with a cold wrap that might help. Hope it's better soon!

I am so sorry to be laughing at your pain, really. I didn't think anything could make me smile right now, nevermind laugh...but these couple of sentences creased me up!!

Thank you hipmama, I hope you find some relief soon.
