    Default Selling 1st Editions

Hello all. I have pretty fair number of 1st editions that I am selling, from "It" forward basically, and was wondering if anyone here has had success doing this? I have listed them on Alibris, but they seem to be lost in the multitude of Stephen Kings novels, and even though I have tried to price them lower then most, have gotten no hits in over month. Just a bad economy? Are there better sites to list them on? Or do I just need to be patient. Thanks!

You can try E-bay. If you include an actual picture of the novel, you have a better chance of selling it. The thing is that most of the King 1st editions that people are looking for are the ones before IT. Those were originally published in smaller quanities. Having never sold anything on Albris or E-bay, I can't begin to tell if it's unusual not to get a hit in the first thirty days or so. I know it's tax time and people are doing their income taxes right now to get their refund checks as quickly as possible, so I would definitely give it another month to see what happens. You have nothing to lose. Keep in mind that books aren't a neccessity for most people. They are luxury items that readers buy when they have extra money to spend. Good luck with your endeavor!

Not so sure I could bring myself to sell first editions ,unless I have more than 1 copy. I wish you the best of luck.

Well, I could take some of them off your hands if you can ship to Canada

I think it's the sheer quantity of them out there...and the fact that anyone who really wanted one probably has one by now. Good luck though!

I have no problem with that, if you are paying! But something tells me you are only joking.
