Default Hey Ms. Mod, Can we Ask the Constant Readers to..

..be more careful with the titles of their posts? I went into the Wizard and Glass board today and one of the newer posts has a spoiler right in the title... (I don't want to repeat it here, lest I give away this plot tidbit to someone else who hasn't finished the book)

For the most part, it seems that posters put **SPOILER*** warnings in their titles, which is great, but in this case, not only was there no warning, the spoiler is IN the title itself.

    Thanks to all!

We can ask but to be honest, it's probably more effective for anyone who hasn't read the book in question (in whatever forum it's in) to stay away from that forum until they've read it just in case if they don't want to take a chance on seeing a spoiler. I do my best to edit them when I see them before posting but sometimes it's not possible to edit the thread title and/or it just slips by me especially if I'm busy. In the meantime I'll go now to see if I can find the one you're referring to.

I never go near a forum for a book I haven't read yet for that very reason. I did it once and was really sorry!

And may you have twice the number.

I've become accustomed to scanning the "New Posts" page. If there are books you have yet to read I would suggest not doing that either. There have been a couple that have jumped out at me as a little bit forward about what happens in a book.

Hmmm..."forward" you say? Sounds like a good head slap is in order....

As the late and great JD was very fond of saying, "Do not open any DT threads until you've reached the last page."
It's brilliant advice, IMO, that's never steered anyone wrong. And it works for any threads pertaining to SK's work.

Carrie I've always done the same(new posts page). Ass-u-med most others did, too.

It's funny you should mention it, because I only recently found the 'New Post' page..
