    Default question

when Jimmy Cody was going up the stairs, leaving Ben Mears in the basement to sharpen the stakes, he mentioned that there was something else he wanted to say but couldn't think of it; that there was something else on the tip of his tongue/mind that he couldn't quite iterate... what was it?

he died before we received the answer... maybe it was just an ominous feeling? a prelude to how he would die (similarities between that scene and the scene of his death)?

Just finished a reread of 'Salem's Lot a couple of days ago.

It was the way Ben was standing there at the worktable, with the lights overhead, that reminded Jimmy of something. He couldn't put his finger on it until later...the blue chalk on Barlow, with the way Ben was standing, reminded him of a man standing over a pool table...which clued them in to where Barlow was hiding.
