No remakes .... EVER!

Teddy and I were chatting the other day ... and he asked me which SK movies would I never want to see remade ....

I had to think a bit .... Here's what I came up with ....

Green Mile
Delores Claibourne
Stand By Me
The Mist
Shawshank ....

We also discussed which ones NEED to be remade .... but that is a tale for another day ....

Your thoughts ???????

I haven't seen them all. And I believe they've already done The Shining again, my 1st exposure to anything King.
I've enjoyed Green Mile, Stand By Me, Shawshank, The Running Man...a movie I watched before I ever read
anything from him...on television...and I didn't know it was based on King's story until the credits ran. I liked
The Stand...The Langoliers...Hearts in Atlantis...Desperation...

There's only been one that was a flop...another day, okay...but I think these are the ones I've seen.

Stand By Me most definately, and Shawshank. And Green Mile. Some that need to be remade, I can only think of one, and that was Thinner. That was BAD...

One remake I would like to see is The Running Man. This could be a great flick in the right hands.

As far as Apt Pupil goes, I wish that some secret lost footage existed that got the ending right and they could have a new cut. It was such a shame they screwed up the end of it because the first 2/3 of the film was excellent. I loved the cast too. Brad Renfro and Ian McKellen were perfect.
