So I think you guys will find this amusing. My last 6 reads have all been SK. I started on my current kick with IT to prepare for 11/22/63. After that, I read the Stand, followed by DT 1-3. For the past year, my mom and I have been sharing books and comparing notes on reads and all, and I have abandoned her on this journey (except I did get her to read 11/22/63). I promised her and myself, I would take a break from SK and go back to Michael Connelly for a while and catch up to her...
I started Lost Coyote last night, and read three chapters. Really like it so far. This morning, I woke up thinking about the ka-tet. Wondering about the riddles on the way to Topeka.
Tonight I went to read, picked up the Connelly...and just....could...not...do....it!!!!
Started Wizards and Glass about a half hour ago and broke away just long enough to tell you guys for a laugh.
Welcome to the wonderful world of the Tower. You will find many here who are addicted. As Eddie tells Jake, "All things serve the Tower, even the beams; did you think you would be different."
Its just funny because I can't say that book three was my favorite and that I didn't even think a couple of times that I really needed to get back to my pile of other books waiting (short pile because they are all on my Kindle). But even though parts of 3 didn't entirely captivate me like book 2 did, the overarching story arc still is.....
And I really want a billy bumbler. Cant stop thinking about a world where a housepet could be that intelligent.
Is there an "official" picture of Oy? In any of the books? I saw some artists renditions of him online but I don't think they are illustrations...
