So far, the only sK I started and put down was The Colorado Kid, due to a review of which I had made the mistake of reading beforehand. When it had occurred to me I'd been deceived I started over and had no problem. Sometimes I really hate critics.

I loved the Colorado Kid!! I had always passed it by when picking up King books. ( always wanted those hefty ones) The minute I cracked it open I was hooked! I sat on the couch and read it until the last page. I definitely gotta put it on my re-read list!!

Why couldn't you finish Gerald's Game?

    Mine:

    Insomnia
    The Talisman
Lisey's Story (and I tried twice!)
    Dreamcatcher
Well, I finished Lisey's Story and I'm just about done with The Talisman. Glad I'm revisiting these as I'm getting a new-found appreciation for them. Actually, The Talisman is pretty darn awesome!

I'm not sure why I couldn't finish Gerald. Could be because I was trying to listen to it a few minutes at a time when my commute was short and had a lot of things going on. I need to give it another go.

Lisey wasn't my favorite, but The Talisman is in the upper tier of SK for me. Go straight to Black House after you finish Talisman!

I haven't started any SK books that I couldn't/wouldn't finish. The closest I came was The Colorado Kid. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I am glad that I finished it because I can say that I have read it, but I probably won't be reading it again.

i never finished reading Cujo. Although i was a young teen when i attempted to read it. Around the same age, i also started and didnt finish the Tommyknockers...but read it few months back.

I loved the Talisman...and although I liked the story and had no issue with it....i have attempted twice, but failed both times to read Black House. Both attempts were when i was not really into reading that much...was more just to do on vacation like sitting on a beach or similar. Def plan to finish it one day, however.
