Movie Remake?

I just read something horrible on the Facebook News feed from the King FB Page. There's a remake of Carrie in the works and (cough, cough) Lindsey Lohan is rumored to be the new star. PLEASE - SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!

Just for the record, Steve doesn't have a FB page. Are you talking about the one that Doubleday is doing (which BTW, they didn't bother asking first about)?

As for the rumor about a remake of Carrie with Lindsey Lohan, I'd thought that surfaced a while back and that's all it was. I think the mention of her came from Steve saying it might be interesting having her do the part (can't remember the source) but I don't know anything about an actual casting of her for that part or even if a remake is truly in the works.

It is Doubledays Facebook page and it has 3 million + followers. They comment on the wall as if it is Steve doing the writing. As for a remake of Carrie I'll just put in my 2 cents and say why... Nothing beats the original.

I read that quote about Lohan when it was made, and I took it as nothing but satire on King's part: his way of saying that Lohan is a complete loser. Which she is.

I'm looking forward to this new movie. They've hired a good director and a good screenwriter, so hopefully they'll be able to make some dark magic here.

the thought of LL playing any SK role is horrifying ... for all the wrong reasons.
