I am happy today because I am being a brat. I went into the Netflix account that my husband's 'Friend' set up for her daughter to use here and went into the suggestion list and weighted it to MY tastes. Now that my husband is working, I can start my day with a horror movie every day, and THAT'S what's coming up in the suggestion list now... good stuff, like Christine and 1408 (and good stuff from the other dudes, too).

Nothing like a smoke, a cup of tea and some horror to start the day right...

I'm not sure if 'happy' is the right word to use, but after my doctor's appointment this afternoon, I am really hoping to start to feel better. This can't go on much longer, right??

I am happy today because my doctor and I had a really good talk on Friday about the lupus. It turns out my previous doctor was quite lax. My doctor is a man of action. Getting referred to a good specialist and not the local idiot. Got a monthly date to see my own doctor now for a check-up. Tests this morning.

Maybe a medication change soon too. Doc's really wanting to get it all right.

All it took was him asking me how long I'd had lupus... and me answering Nineteen Years. That really got the conversion going. 19.

I am happy today because I am FINALLY feeling better..

Oh, and one other thing, too, which I am ecstatic about..

I am happy today because LadyPain has been happier lately, that things seem to be moving forward for her, that some of her difficult times may finally be receding. I am happy today that Srbo got his book (I wonder why it took so long). I am happy today that Mod is getting a much deserved break, some time away, some peace and quiet in surroundings somewhere she loves. I am happy today that, despite the fact the frames of my glasses suddenly fell apart yesterday, I can still wear them enough to read. I am happy wonderful people make relatively inexpensive glasses just for reading because I can see in the distance fine and because I don't have insurance.

I am happy today because there are perfect strangers in this world who care enough about a person they are willing to listen to him ramble all the way to this period.
