It's been cold the whole weekend. Zero and little above. Winter is very close now.
I have to admit that I hate winter because of the cold and of much snow. Fall and
spring is OK if it's not rain everyday of course and summer is best. But I don't have any
choice since I live in a country with four seasons.
Thank you Spidey we really need warmth and sunshine. Glad to hear it has cool down for you
in FL as well.

Breakfast of champions. It's the only thing that will work for me right now. I had a good enough shift at work last night, but the walk home killed my joints. I'll be over by the fireplace watching a movie on my computer today.

Good morning, everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

I am happy to report I found the snake. I was cleaning up the huge mess I made looking for him, and heard the cat making a fuss in the bedroom, so I ran in there, and there he was, slithering up a fishing pole. I have no idea where he was hiding, but I was so relieved he finally came out! He seems to be just fine, he was a little jumpy but not aggressive at all. Slithered right into my hand. I fed him and put him back in his tank. Latches are secure and I put some small pieces of petrified wood on top just to add some more weight. We named him Harry, after Houdini...thanks to a suggestion from GNTL.

I have my basement all put back together, finishing up what is left of the laundry today.

First off, I detest snakes, but I'm glad you found him! All I can picture is that he was hiding under your bed the whole time and, for me, that just causes an outbreak of goosebumps all over me bod....... (insert shivery emoticon here). Yikes!

Me, I finally got my settlement check (so I can pay off the Toronto trip)! Gonna pay some bills, buy a new camera and get some Yule shopping out of the way. So glad it's finally over. Now, if this flu would just be done with me. *sigh*

Belated thanks, Cat in the bag. The family miraculously recovered in time for my eldest's birthday and there was 'cake' for breakfast and cake for dinner. There was insanity and too many gifts. Can't seem to rein in kids' birthdays around here even if I skip the birthday party and nonsense. I'm so glad you found your snake!

Hi All! Hope this finds you all in good health and spirits! How's everyone's day going? Mine so far: go to get a haircut and the power is out at the barber shop! Then I go to check on my car that I dropped off last week to have repainted (down the street from the barber shop) only to find out that their sprayer had malfunctioned last week so it's not ready (and apparently no one that works there knows how to use a phone to call me to let me know that it's NOT READY!!). Go to the auto parts store to get the little tiny light bulb for above the rear liscense plate and a new radiator cap and am told that the cap has to be ordered, they don't carry it in stock (for a 2011 Focus)! Sometimes life is just frustrating, but I'm dealing with it.

LadyPain, do you take Glucosamine? If not, it might help with your joints. My knees used to kill me (abused from years of selling shoes- up and down, up and down, bending all the time, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week). Give it a try, it takes a month or so to see results but it does help.
