    Hello!
I've been quite busy lately, driving my husband around for work, so I can never get here until after hours! Such is life! I keep feeling like I'm missing everyone somehow.

The weather has been absolutely great the last few days! With a couple more really nice days coming up. Around 70F which is not normal for this time of year here. I expect it's a set-up for a blizzard or something. Crossing my fingers and hoping that doesn't happen!

I hope everyone is well! Those of you who are not....get better fast!
Sending hugs, love , good vibes, etc. to all in need (or not).

Hi, good morning all. The weekend is almost here, and I hope you enjoy it.
I also hope you enjoy this quizz. My score was 11 of 20, not bad, having in mind that I have the memory of an elephant... a stuffed one

[SIZE=4]Hi again. I wanted to share something with you. As some of you know, I'm preparing for competitive examinations, in order to gain a post as an official teacher (btw, does this sound correct "to gain a post as an official teacher"? how would you express that in a more natural English? Thank you). We have to study language, literature, history, linguistics and cognitive theories. I attend lessons once a week,to help us prepare the examinations (that will be held in June). Yesterday we had a test to check our progress. We had to write an essay on one of several options. I chose one on American literature, which included the Lost Generation and William Faulkner. I think I did it ok, wrote almost 14 pages and I think I didn't mix up the novels nor the biographical and literary details. of the different authors.

The point is that everytime I study -or write- about the English and American language and literature I can't avoid thinking of you, of this place, and of how much I have learnt by reading your posts and SK books.
And, obviously, when it comes to British literature, I think of JohnD.

Around these here parts, one would probably say something like, "...so I can go get me a job teachin' "...but I like yours betterer.
