I find these storms so sad. My heart goes out to each and everyone effected by Sandy and Athena. Sending hugs and positive vibes.

Onlywe, I am glad to hear that you are safe and sound. Prayers being said for you and your family. ( may Athena go away)
My thoughts and prayers go our to your family and all in those areas. Mother Nature is playing too many tricks. I too have family and friends, many who had power restored and lost it with the snow. One on Long Island remains without power and heat since Sandy first struck.
Onlyewe- hang in as best you can and know many hold you and yours to good thoughts and prayers. Please take care!!
I too am having trouble adjusting to the cold this year. I have to wear a thick overshirt under my jacket now, and sometimes even under my coat when it dips into the 20's. Also I have been waking up feeling cold at night (have to snuggle up to the wife for extra warmth!) I think that October trip to Palm Springs seriously messed up my internal thermometer!
Happy Thursday!
((((onlyewe and family)))) Take care of yourself! I admire how you sound in good spirits, I know I wouldn't be able to say the same about myself if I were in your situation. I will be keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers!
The kids' conferences all went very well yesterday. They are out of school today and tomorrow. They've been very busy bees already this morning!
Sending big hugs and much love to everyone! Have a wonderful day!
Hang in there Onlyewe..live in are area of NYS that was hit hard in the ice storm of 1998,which caused huge power losses due to downed trees and poles..I know I didn't get power back for almost two weeks to the day,and it can be rough it was quite cold. One thing we found was that older people, living alone, had the hardest time of all.Speculating that their tv's,radios, etc are a source of company for them, and when that was gone and they were so isolated,in dark cold houses and apartments, well,it was extra hard on them..some had to be taken to the local er's for mental health evaluations..I hope the emergency officials in your area are cognizant of that, and that neighbors and families take extra time to check up on them, bring over a hot meal, just give em the sight of a friendly smiling face..I hope you get your power back soon and FEMA and insurance takes care of your monetary losses..Best..![]()
Have a great Thursday everyone. Weekend almost here again.
Please stay safe Onlyewe I send prayers for you and your family that all be safe.
Sandy was bad enough and now Athena. Please stay safe all who's in the path of these
bad storms.
Snowed here yesterday and now the ground is white again. Wasn't very cold this morning
only 3C but now it feels much colder. I think the temp has go down to -1C Winter has
really arrived.
Hope all is feeling well or getting better.
Take good care friends. Be careful too.
((all in need or not))
((all in path of Athena))
((critters too))
Thank you all for your kind words and wishes - it is heartwarming and sustaining - and I appreciate it more than I can say.
TGIF! I'm still celebrating both my ticket (which came today!!) and the election. My wonderful state approved marriage equality! I'm so proud![]()
I'm thinking of advertising my services for weddings. I am certified by the Covenant of the Goddess and the church at which I used to be High Priestess. It would be wonderful to join loving couples of all stripes and maybe make a few extra clams in the process. What think you, Tet?
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend. (((all in need )))![]()
Go for it, Tery! I think you'd do a wonderful job officiating at marriages.![]()
