It's very dry. We've gotten some decent rain storms, but not nearly enough. Every body of water around here looks very dry. Maybe we're making up for the Irene flooding. (When it rains, it pours).

It's definitely eye opening to remember how high some of the water levels got after Irene (Thanks to the local dams), and then to see how little water there is now.

You all know that if I could shrink you down and put you in my suitcase, I would. It would be a pleasure to share my favorite place with you all. But I guess we'll have to be happy with pictures and descriptions.

Cooler temps up here in WA and the wildfires seem to be coming under control. Thanks for the rain dances!

    Have a great Thursday, everyone!!

I've gotten some financial support lined up. It's not going to be enough but I have a little bit of money of my own. I ALSO have an appointment to meet a property manager to look at a small flat. Cross your fingers and send me good vibes. Lots to accomplish.

That is GREAT!! I know this whole ordeal is tough, and you must at times feel exhausted and scared, but you are strong and amazing and brave, and being tired and afraid does not make that any less true.

    Good Thursday to all.
Sending positive vibes for you LadyPain.

Would like to take a moment and ask for some extra positive vibes, prayers, good thoughts for those in Haiti. If Isaac continues on his path, it will impact that country. There are still thousands living in tents and tarp like shelters. Can you imagine the pounding rains and high winds?

Those in FL and the gulf coast states, be prepared now for what Isaac may bring our way.

Taking a break with large iced herbal tea in hand, and heading for safety of bean bag central. All are welcome to join.

It absolutely boggles my mind that after having nearly $5.2 billion pledged/donated according to one source, there are are still people living in those conditions over two years after that disaster.

Extra vibes, prayers, and good thoughts being sent to all those in the projected path of the storm.
