    Default Great Read

I had been reading all sorts of positive things about 'Salems Lot so finally decided to buy a copy with a gift card. What a read! I read it in two evenings, finished it last night and boy was I creeped out! I love when I get goosebumps while reading, it shows that the author really knows what he is doing and so far Stephen King is the only one who has gotten that reaction from me!

I agree. Salem's Lot is one of my favorite SK books, maybe on top of the list. I've listened to it on audiobook several times.

'Salems Lot is an amazing read, it's definitely one of my favourites. I agree with the comment above, you have to try The Shining next or Pet Sematary, if you haven't already read it (that really gave me goosebumps while reading!)

Oh, I have read plenty of Stephen King, I am just reading them in a very odd order...

When I retire (80 or so years from now) I hope to read all of his work in chronological order.

I re-read Salem's Lot at this moment and are almost halfway into it. It's a great book.

....I hope to just be able to find the bathroom...and at 130-that would be a hell of an accomplishment....

This is my favorite by SK. I enjoy all of his books, but for me, this one struck a nerve! Enjoy!

Apparently I need to get my hands on "Jerusalems Lot" and "One For The Road".

'Salem's Lot has been nominated for a special Bram Stoker Vampire Novel of the Century Award, which is being given this year to mark the centenary of Bram Stoker's passing.

IMHO, I think 'Salem's Lot is a slam dunk for this award!!
