I think at one time they were talking about Zack Snyder making a movie of it, right around the time he did Dawn of the Dead, but then I never heard any more about it.

According to Wikipedia, the Weinstein brothers have an option, and Eli Roth was at one point to direct. But Roth is out. And apparently SK has a screenplay written. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_(n...al_adaptations

I would love, love, love to see this as a movie! I hope it eventually gets done. I'm bummed Eli's out but if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.
