Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner I'm never on.
It's nice to know he's loved and missed but I have some bad news . He was taken into hospital as his condition is steadily deteriorating and we are not sure when he will get out if he does at all . I'll pass on the love and best wishes from you guys and keep posted

Thanks for the news Sunny~D. I tried to contact him via a number I had the other day but it was either an old one or I had the digits wrong, it seems Kim~L also had the same problem with a landline number she had for him. Marsha that's a great idea about an address for the hospital, I will quite happily buy a nice card for him tomorrow and send a general one from us all, letting him know he is in our thoughts. The card would reach him fast since I'm not very far away from him, and then the rest of you could all send cards also if you wish, since they will take a while longer to arrive here. Just a thought.

Hearing this news was not unexpected, but it still hurts like hell when it arrives...John is a proud man, and one(from chatting with him privately)that did not care for the extent of his condition to be made "public" on the board-for the simple fact he didn't wish for all of us to grieve and worry...he, I believe, would want us to simply draw together as the Ka-Tet that we are-and keep the faith....that way, on the day that our beloved Scotsman reaches his clearing-he will do so, borne up by the love of this "Fellowship of the Board"....for those not aware of John's situation-it is a condition beyond the current power of the healing arts...not being brutal, just honest...and our best prayer is that he go knowing of our affection and love for a man who has become a mentor and very dear to many of us....I am honored by being his friend, John-I love you....simple as that...nothing more need said old hoss.....
