*Spoiler alert* (sorry, I'm new here, so I don't know how to hide the spoilers on here)
Just the examples off the top of my head.

Wow, totally didn't remember anything but the two characters who found the rocks and wanted to start going at each other. When I read the title of this post I was like "desperation didn't have a lot of sex in it, what is this about?" But I guess if you include those other things then yes, sexuality as a theme is present throughout desperation and regulators, its companion novel. Because Tak is a violent sexual demon.
...understood Connie, and no dis-respect intended...it's just that, it's the first and usually only thing on a guys mind...women have a little more depth, uhh-so to speak....
Ohhhh Tak, you crazy demon, you. I have my own theories about the origins of Tak and The Regulators or Desperation is usually one of my first choices to lend a budding King fan (If he's a male) (Or The Long Walk)
I usually recommend Insomnia, IT, or Salem's Lot to females.
I'm totally not sexist, but I think the first book you read from a new author is the most important.

I heard a stand-up comedian (male - can't remember his name) say that comparing male ... urges... to female ones is like the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing one.
