My thoughts on the series and the ending, I'd like yours please (spoilers)

Before I start Id just like to say I have only read the dark tower series and have yet to move on to other books connected to the series. So I apologise in advance for my ignorance if there are answers in any of the other books. I loved the series and I am now keen to move on to the connecting books ( any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated). I finished the series about two weeks ago now and I still think about some things in the series. Id love to hear other peoples opinions on these.


1. If Roland is in some sort of purgatory/groundhog day lol, because of his actions on his first wheel of saving the tower and this is Gans way of teaching him redemption, What will happen when he reaches the tower for the last time. I like to think that hopefully this next time with the horn will be his last and that he will be somehow absolved and a new protector of the tower will come into being?

2. In the begining of Wizard and Glass the Ka-Tet get off Blaine and find themselves in the land of Nozz-a-la and takuro spirits. I assume that they are no longer in Mid-world Toto. At the end of the novel they wake up a few miles away with the emerald city still in sight and had no idea how they got there or who packed there picnic baskets. After this they just walk on to Call Bryn Sturgis?

3. Crimson King Still lives! As two red eyes at the tower? In a Sauron kinda way?

I'll go with question number 2 - Sai King is releasing another Dark Tower book next year that may answer your question as it is suppose to be an in between book of 4 and 5.

I agree with BK19, but I'd read Insomnia first, just because of the really cool connection that is such a small part of Insomnia and a huge part of DK7!
For question #1, I think you answered it yourself...Sai King's stories frequently end with many unanswered questions. Some people like that (I'm in that group!) and others, not so much. I like being able to imagine whatever I want!
