Star Invaders / The invasion of the Star Monsters/ The invasion of the Star Creatures

Hello,

a few months back, someone considered selling the only known copy of THE STAR INVADERS (Stephen King has the only other copy known).

In ON WRITING, Stephen King mention "Invasion of the Star Creatures".. which i guess was a mistake for the story called "Star Invaders".

In October, TCM broadcasted a documentary called " A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES - THE HORRORS OF STEPHEN KING". In this one, at 4min15, we see what seems to be a picture of a page from a typewriter, with the title :"The invasion of the Star Monsters"

My questions are the following :
- Are all those titles, related to the same stories?
- There are obviously 2 different titles. The seller from the Star Invaders story, shared the title page, and in the documentary we can see another title page (with a different title).

Are those 2 different variants for the same story? Any ideas?

I don't really know the answers to your questions, but how can it be "the only known copy" if SK has a copy too? Something's not right.

According to Stephen J. Spignesi's "The Lost Work of Stephen King", the correct title is "The Star Invaders". Spignesi has actually read the story so I would guess he got the title right. The graphic shown in TCM may have just been a graphic created for the documentary.

@fushingfeef : I agree, but maybe there are 2 versions of the story? Are graphic created for documentaries? I would tend to think that they would ask to get pictures or actual elements...
