Well...I just finished Bag of Bones. I wanted to finish it before the mini-series aired this coming weekend, and I tasted success with my goal. While it is not my favorite King book, I do remember trying to read it a few years ago and just being bored with it. Not this time. I got to the part that I stopped reading last time, and kept reading, and asked myself 'Why did I stop?'.

It was nice getting to revisit some characters who had familiar names from some stories such as Needful Things (not going into more detail). Regardless, I look forward to watching the mini-series now, and I know I'll tell myself 'The book is sooo much better!'

I finished BoB about a month ago. Like you, it's not my favorite and I'm not even sure I'd put it in my top 5. But some passages sent shivers down my spine and I'm counting the days down to the miniseries!

I really loved Bag of Bones....it is my number #1....the reason being (probably) that this was the second book of King's i read after getting into reading after again.....After cell this book was a breath of fresh air and i read a good 200-300 pages on a camping trip and just couldn't stop reading! What a great book and i hope the mini-series stands up to it because the previews certainly make it look awesome!

Howdy! I read BoB several years ago, and after seein' that it was going to be a movie, decided to re-read it. Actually, while not my fave, I'd surely rate it as one of them. Somehow, the book has a certain flow to it (slow-fast). I've had the displeasure of meeting a few characters like Devore, and reading SK's description of the old creep sent chills down my spine,LoL! Great book, wonder if a sequel is a possibility?

I don't know if I'd like that too much.

I remember buying it as soon as it was released. I was so addicted to reading that book that once while grocery shopping I stopped in the book section just so I could pick that book up and read it. I couldn't put it down just to go to the store! I think I stood there reading it for a half hour or so before I finally reached a point I could part with.

    I'm such a dork!

I probably need a re-read myself; I remember really liking it when I read it, but after watching the mini-series, I knew it wasn't as good...I just couldn't recall exactly what had been changed.
