    Default Dale Barbara- Barbie

When I started with UTD few days ago, Dale Barbara was the first character who's confused me. I know Barbara is a male character
But sometimes when they said Barbie to him in the book, I have to think twice if he is a man or a women. And even today when I read UTD I imaged Barbie as a female character when I realize after a while that they talk about Dale Barbara here and he's a man not a women.

I didn't have any difficulties thinking of Baaarbie as a male, and quite liked the playful quality to his nickname.

How far into the book are you? Maybe it will be easier to overcome viewing his character as an anatomically disproportionate plastic doll when you get further into the story.

I didn't have any problem keeping Barbie's gender straight, but I didn't care much for the name choice. It just felt awkward and out of place.

Hey, you guys got them completely incomplete totally anatomically incorrect Barbie dolls (G.I. Joe's too, I'd reckon)?
Well, 'Dale', it is an androgynous name after all, is all I'm sayin'...though, I suppose that did sound a lot like I just said I've been Peepin' Tommin' on dolls.
    Nuhhh Uhh!

I'm not even halfway into the book. Maybe you're right Ally. I keep reading and see if I can come over it and finally keep Barbie as a male character.

Just a mean spirited nickname hung on him....and we've all had those in our lives I reckon....

Yeah I think we all know one. I liked Dale and maybe because I listened to the audio I had no trouble remembering who they were talking about
