I'm the newbie here so, hello to everyone. I'm sorry to start a new thread and I may be in an inappropriate place, but I didn't get any response to what I sent to an old thread a couple of days ago. So, here goes, if anyone is interested...
I have a hardback copy of Blaze and I was re-reading it for the 6th time last week - love the book and is in my Top 5 favorites of Mr. King's books.
On page 144, when Blaze catches a ride in the pulp wood truck, it says that the driver's window was broken and that "blasts of January air whirled in, fighting with the baking air from the heater."
Then on page 147, the driver offers Blaze another cig, Blaze says "trying to quit", driver says "Yeah? Good for you. Cold as a witch's tit in here ain't it?" (Downshifts, description of muffler (or lack of one) sounds, then driver says..) "Heater's broke. Radio, too."
I'm in NO way trying to make Mr. King or his editor look bad, it's just that I've never found an error in ANY SK book. Guess since this one's a trunk novel, written long ago, found, then edited more, I image it can happen - just never seen it!
I was kind of excited to find this.Is there a place on this website where this kind of thing is discussed? Anyone ever notice this?
Later!
