I have read the series seven times and listened to it twice; each time I get something new out of it. King's ability to tell a story through a characters thoughts more than their actual actions produces an errie sense of POV. His attention to detail in foreground and background settings paint such vivid landscapes that could never be reproduced by brush or celluroid. he seems to be very in tune to the thought process of youth and is able to get inside our heads and pull out ideas, theories, and experiences that we may have had ourselves but were ever reluctant to share because of fear of ridicule by our peers. I hope the Tower story line will continue long past "The wind through the keyhole" and I anxiously await the theather/TV series release.
