    Default Dennis and Arnies friendship

    One thing that I noticed in this book as well as liked and found interesting was Arnie and Dennis' friendship. What did you guys think of it? I thought it was entertaining that Dennis who was kind of like the "cool guy" that everyone seemed to respect was best friends with Arnie, who nobody really liked. Before reading Christine for the first time, I would never had pictured somebody like Dennis to be hanging out with somebody like Arnie and the way how King wrote and described it was very well done.

    Some people are wise enough, even at a young age-to look past surface "nerdness", "difference", "strangeness" etc.-and value the person beneath...I always liked that relationship-because being one of the "uncool" people-it made me feel that there would be those that would see MY worth someday too...and they have...

    I agree. It's few and far between, especially with young people to look past the outer package of a person. I was like that in high school and even more so now. I tend to look at someone as the person rather that what they look like.
