Steve re-wrote the ending after Joe read it and gave him feedback. Both endings were very good but I like what Steve did with Joe's suggestions even better .

I don't think you'll be disappointed.![]()
I printed this when it first came out, I think sometime in the '80s? I still have the printed copy, through Part Six and have been waiting for the finish ever since. Would love to have it.
Someone fill me in on The Plant. Never heard that one before.
I like Stephen best when he writes his own material. That's the way I found him, and that's the way that I looked at his early work. Jut him, sitting there with a maniacal look on his face when he's really going on the action parts. Then, sometimes, looking out his favorite window, probably wondering, "What am I going to do with this thing now?".
Nothing against other writers, or fans, for that matter. All writers start out as unknowns, but some are simply some part gifted, some part obsessed, some part insightful and some part intent on improving their craft. They tend to sweat a lot of things, whereas others would simply muddle through and not look at the story as more or less a puzzle with various sized pieces. And those pieces do not always have the same cut.
Pure Stephen is my preference. Collaborations may be interesting and fun for professional novelists, but I believe that would be a self-indulgence more than anything else. Oh, they may still care about the story, but I like it best when writers stand on their own...just as the story they write must do.![]()
