    Question The Ending of Carrie...

I REFUSE to watch the end of the Carrie. I have read the ending in the novel though. I do want to know if they are exactly the same or if they did the ending in the movie different. I am willing to bet that they are completely different but I would like to know for sure without seeing the end of the movie. So is it the same or was it changed? Please do NOT tell me in detail simply "its different" or "its the same". Thank You!

Why do you refuse to watch the ending?

Carrie was a low budget movie when it was made, therefore they didn't have the money needed to blow up an entire town, like described in the novel. However, the film version (with Sissy Spacek) is a very good version. Not much is changed in it, other than it has the obligatory Brian De Palma 'ending'. I recommend that you watch it and enjoy.

It's always been my belief that knowing the end of any movie without seeing it is like peeking at the end of a book without reading it. But I guess I'm weird that way.

Anyway, I kind of prefer the movie ending to the book ending.

Trust me just watch the movie with the ending. It's not like it's torture or anything. It isn't going to hurt you and it certainly hasn't done anything to hurt the book.

I like the book for the ending, but I like the movie for the beginning.
