    Default name that book...

about a year ago i was eating in a small bar which had a small bookcase....
i thought it was purely decorative but soon spotted the name 'stephen king' on one of the spines....
while my girlfriend was at the bathroom i picked it up and read the first few pages...

it began with a young boy receiving some kind of brain surgery following an accident, whereupon the surgeon discovered a fully formed third eyeball inside the young boys brain...
at the time i was half-cut (or a little bit drunk for those of you outside the uk) and as such, i can't remember the title of the book.

this has been bugging me for ages so please, won't someone put me out my misery???

    thank you.

The book you're looking for is The Dark Half.
