Default Is there any subject Stephen King will not write about?

One of the hardest books I wrote was also my first. I made a decision early on that if I was to be any kind of writer I needed to cover subjects that were horrifying to me. I included all of them in great detail in a book entitled, "Pedophile". You can imagine what the subject matter was about. I will publish this book someday. I read it occasionally and I still cringe. This brings me to my question. Stephen King has covered many different subjects in his novels. But is there any subject he will not write about?

Not sure, but at least your being an honest writer, true to yourself, that's one of the toughest things most writers deal with.

He's mentioned that early on in his career he sold a lot of stories (which were later included in story collections) to "men's" magazines and attempted to write a book of a more "adult" genre but just couldn't do it.

Of course he couldn't. When a man's in a certain mood, does he really want to read...

    "What took you so long?"
"I was only in the bathroom a minute."
    "Come here, you sexy...AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

I think he'll write about anything he finds merit in
and approach it with blunt honesty as much as possible.

hahahaha thats a funny thought, Stephen King writing...erotic fiction. I was thinking he could do it with a horror twist but it would end up too much Twilight!! hahahaha

God help us; Sai King and erotic fiction. I might have to have eye bleach. I would keep turning the pages, though; just to see what terror would present itself.

And may you have twice the number.

I vouch for Mark, i've read some of his stuff he's put on the board and he's a good writer(IMO).
