can't believe some of the comments people made on that site. If they don't like SK, why read the article?
Personally, I'm excited for this book to come out.

There was a segment on the CNN Situation Room tonight on Stephen King's Dr. Sleep. The anchors mentioned that it was a story following a grown up Danny from The Shining and then all the dumb ass anchors could talk about was the movie The Shining, not the book. They were showing clips from the movie and saying things like, "that movie really scared me." The piece was supposed to be on SK's book in progress and ended up looking like a trailer for The Shining movie. Doesn't anybody read anymore?

I'm torn on this one. Very much looking forward to it and will read it. BUT my experience with sequels (at least at the movies) is that they never quite measure up and sometimes even diminish the original. The Shining is almost perfect as is. We always think we want more of a good thing, but sometimes it's not a good idea. My hope here is this is more an original story and not so much The Shining 2.

I'm really looking forward to reading this story. I can't wait to find out what Danny's been up to since leaving The Overlook. He would have made for one wicked breaker though huh?

Don't worry, this is SK we are talking about here. Movie sequels suck because the studios force the filmmakers to make a carbon copy of the successful original. Authors don't have to worry about that. The novel world is full of great sequels like Harry Bosch and Lew Archer novels. SK knows what he's doing.

Man Uncle Stevie could take the story anywhere Dr. Sleep sounds 2 me like he becomes a DR of sleep or maybe the story involves sleep and another OUTLOOK type of case he see in his dreams maybe and a path leads him there... Maybe he takes it 2 A NIGHTMAREON ELM STREET/DREAMSCAPE/MIGHTMARES/SLEEPSTALKER type story... Maybe oh just maybe, I can't wait to read - oh, how I can't wait....

Oh and 2 the comments about KING NOVELS 2 the big screen... THat's how I found Mr. King with IT first.... on the TUBE... Me was dislexic or cixelsid saw em or xcisleisd wsa em... But when I figured it out a book 300 pagse can take me a month 2 read.... A good novel 2-4 months.... ENDERS GAME took me almost 2 months maybe if I was lucky 5 pages a day... LOTR THE FELLOWSHIP 3moths I was 18... my current book can't say but I'm at 2 and a half years.... wouldv'e taken me 3 months but havng a life sucks sometimes... 1st 3 DARK TOWER novels took me a year maybe if not more sometime I'll reread a page 5 2 10 times so I can burn the image in my imagination...
