Default How about a 1980-2010 Danse Macabre essay?!

How about a 1980-2010 Danse Macabre essay?!!
I have just bought the book today, and while in train I was reading the introduction, and tought:
He wrote this book 30 years ago, an essay on 30 years of horror in cinema, comics and book (the spacetime between 1950 and 1980).
What does He think today of what horror has become, the evolution that there is in books and movies, a gender He helped to plasmate in this new 30 years?!
My interest is to bring Him this question, in any way, so I'll start by placing this discussion all around the internet in hope that somehow he'll read this or one of you guys will be able to! K - 09/27/2011

He's been asked if he would write a follow-up to Danse Macabre but he has no interest. He said the first one was too much work.

    Hi,

I also think that he'd in no position to evaluate the last 30 years of the genre, since he was personally responsible for most of them.

But I'm sure Robin Furth, Bev Vincent, Joe Hill or Owen King could do it justice!

    Long days and pleasant nights

The first one was the only one worth writing anyways, since the greatest stuff came during that time or before.

    Hi,

    I disagree.

I think by far the greatest stuff in the genre came from the pen of Sai King himself.

Yes, he's my favorite "horror" author, not only as I'm able to do comparisons by reading those who've come before, but because when I read Stephen King I'm not reading "horror", am I? It's much more than any one thing, isn't it? If his work must be classified in this world, I suppose Horror must be the column. But he's much more than that for me.
